Description
A sprained ankle heals better and faster when the patient uses the injured ankle, while protecting it at the same time. Aircast pioneered the functional management of ankle sprains by developing the Air-Stirrup. The Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace is the brace that made functional management practical. It is perhaps the most widely used brace in orthopedics. More than 25 published studies document its efficacy and versatility with sprains, fractures, and chronic instability. Ankle Brace Model Sizes Sports Stirrup (02D): intended for prevention only. It is narrower for less bulk in a regular or high-top athletic shoe. Because malleolar coverage is reduced, it is not for the acute injured ankle.
